Prey to be a Pet! 4

"Who are you!" I yell, trying to sound as aggressive as possible so hopefully the limb retreats, but it doesn't, instead the owner of the limb speaks.

"That doesn't matter to you, but I finally caught you, that's what really matters human." A deep male voice emits from within the shrubbery before its owner rises up and out of the bushes, his gaze fixated on me showing off a toothy grin. I take a second to look over the dragon, green with a silver neck, underbelly and the underside of his wings that begin to stretch out.

"What do you mean finally caught me, I'm not some animal?" I query my captor, trying to stay as intimidating as I can, yet confused by what he meant by 'finally'.

"It has been two days now, trying to catch you. Your a smart snack, but not smart enough." The dragon explains, his tone of voice becoming more and more evil with every word.

"Why would you spend so long just to get me?" I ask, fearful as to why he would spend so long just for me.

"I get much more food by being stealthy like this because they will send out search parties for you. Then they will send search parties for the original search party. A buffet of humans constantly arriving to feed me. It's a lot better than having to find a new feeding ground after attacking a single village." The dragon explains, beginning to salivate at the thought of his next few meals.

"People won't come looking for me, so just let me go!" I plead, hoping that reason will change the dragon's mind. Nothing, the dragon completely ignores me and continues to speak as if I hadn't.

"I will say though, it hasn't been fun waiting for you, pretty uncomfortable actually." He says, stretching all his limbs but the one holding me down. The bones in his wings and spikes that run up his tail all the way to his neck are both golden and he is bigger than Sierra, not by much though.

"Did you hear me? People won't search for me!" I plead again, hoping that it was just that he didn't hear me the first time.

"Oh, but that's one of the greatest traits I love about humans, except for your taste that is. How you never leave your own kind behind, it's such a noble cause." The dragon explains, chuckling to himself over his own words.

"I'm telling the truth, no one will come to find me, so please just let me go!" Nothing again, he ignores me again as if I'm no longer capable of speech.

"Let's hope it was worth it." He says in a sinister tone. The evilness in his voice snaps me out of my physical trance and I begin to fight against the limb holding me down. I stop realising that its useless, exactly the same when Sierra pins me down. Wait, Sierra? I whistle, and again, and again, holding onto hope that Sierra will save me.

"Whistling for your friends, huh? I guess I could play with you till they arrive. It will just be more food for me." The male dragon says with a smile, thinking that I'm bringing more humans to my aid.

"Let go! Or you will regret it!" I command, hoping that he will adhere to my advice, even though deep down I know he won't listen.

"Like I said, I've been following you for the past two days, waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce. I almost had you earlier, but you ran away when I got ready to strike. Your lunch, just admit it." His tone showing annoyance at my commands.

"No! Let go, please!" I yell as fear seeps into my soul more and more. The dragon only adds to it by moving its head close to my body, sniffing me.

"You smell even better up close, your taste, though, it will probably be the best of them all." The dragon says, running its tongue over it maw to try and stop any saliva dripping out.

"N-no, I t-ta-taste b-bad." I stutter, now shaking in fear. I whistle, "Help!" I yell at the top of my lungs before whistling once again.

"Your help doesn't seem to be coming. It's a shame really, I thought I was going to have a big lunch." The dragon says half-heartedly before readjusting its paw so only two of its sharp claws are holding me down. One just below my shoulder, the other above my pelvis.

His technique of holding me down shows that he's done this before, because I am completely immobilised. Any attempt at moving away from the dragon is blocked by the claw making contact with my pelvic bone. Any attempt at getting closer is blocked by the claw against my shoulder.

The scaly beast lowers its head down further and licks me. His tongue starting at my knees and continuing up to my face. The dragon's breath is fire hot, putrid and its saliva is thick and slimy with no better smell either. I cough and splutter as much of it away from my face before realising my hand is free enough to do that. I wipe the remaining saliva away only to realise that the dragon wasn't stopping at one lick.

I begin fighting the slimy appendage on its second pass, punching and kicking as best I can. The dragon only laughs and applies pressure with the two claws holding me down, the pain makes me stop. I become compliant, letting the dragon continue with several more licks. I try to find any weaknesses or distractions that I can use to escape. I struggle to do much though due to my face constantly being barraged with waves of saliva.

"I guess you will have to do. Human is so delicious, I can't complain for just having one." The dragon says, as I take advantage of my new situation, grabbing my sword out of its sheath and swinging it at the dragon's face. The dragon, however is quick to respond, lunging its head back, far enough to make my sword ineffective. Gouging his eyes or stabbing the weaker looking flesh of his nostrils were my only options. Previous experience has taught me that the scales are stronger than the steel in my sword.

"Ugh, come on!" I yell, knowing that my only chance of inflicting damage and potentially freeing myself was gone.

"Oh, almost got ahead of myself there, thank you human, that could have been painful for me." The dragon says cynically, reaching down with its other paw and taking the sword from my grasp. The dragon then plants it, blade first deep into a tree trunk so only the handle is exposed.

While the dragon is concentrating on the sword I pull out my crossbow and aim at its eye. Just as I fire the dragon's attention changes and it looks toward the sky. The bolt stabs into the bottom of its jaw and the pang of pain it causes once again changes the dragon's attention, this time back to me. He pulls the bolt out before examining it and then looking back at me.

"I guess you want a painful death, huh?" The dragon says angrily, pressing down on my body with the two claws holding me in place. Slowly I feel the two blades push into my body, causing me to flail uncontrollably and yell. The pain gets too much and I comply with what I think the dragon wants, throwing the crossbow over my head. Upon seeing this the dragon shows some mercy and relieves the pressure but still holds me in place.

"Sierra, where are you?" I plead, holding on to the hope that she will find me before its too late. I feel the blood trickle from the two puncture wounds on my body. Maybe she will smell the blood?... Maybe she won't ever know? She will probably search for days, not resting until she finds me, but she won't.

"Hold on to that hope, it might not be too late." The dragon says evilly, disturbing my thoughts and showing no remorse for what he is about to do.

"You, you are cruel!" I yell, expressing my emotions for no reason, it's not like it will change my fate.

"I've been called worse by better." The dragon says and then picks me up by my legs. No struggling could ever break the dragons grasp and even if I could, I would return to earth head first.

"I hope you choke!" I scream as I sway back and forth, slowly reaching eye level.

"And I hope you burn." The dragon says, before breathing fire just below my head, causing me to flail to try and get away from it.

He stops to laugh before continuing to spew fire below my head and then he lowers me into it. The flames burn my skin and singe the hair over my body. It lasts for only a few seconds before he stops, smirking at me as I cease to fight.

"Giving up so soon?" The dragon asks smugly.

"No, I won't give up, now let go." I plead, with my body hurting far too much to protest my words any more than just me saying them.

"Lets find out shall we?" The dragon says evilly, opening wide to show its sharp teeth, its tongue dangling with anticipation and the saliva that coats everything inside.

I go cold and a paralysing tingling sensation spreads throughout my body rendering it useless. My limp body cartwheels as its thrown inside the dragon's maw, the slimy landing on its tongue returns my body back under my control. Before I can even turn around, the light fades and I hear the dragons jaw snap shut.

The dragon shoves me around using its tongue and slams me against every fleshy wall. The scaly beast shows no care in its actions, even my screams of fear and pain are met with no more than a chuckle. Amongst the movements I open up my rut-sack in the hope to find a dagger or anything to help me escape. I reach my hand in as I'm pushed once again by the dragons tongue. Something stabs into my hand and begins burning instantly. The chillies!

I apply the contents quickly, shards of glass rip my skin open, the chillies burn somewhere similar to what acid would. Tears of pain well up in my eyes, making any light that seeps into the dark chamber blurry. The chillies seem to have an effect on the dragon too, because my torturous prison begins to fill with light and the tongue becomes less interested in me. The next thing I know, I'm on the ground with a heavy thud. Before I can do anything though I am pinned to the ground with even more force than my fall.

"Grrr, you really want to suffer huh! Fine then, SUFFER!" The dragon yells, spewing a quick burst of fire at me, hoisting my body back up and throwing me back into his maw.

The throw this time is more powerful and I land at the back of his throat. I clamber back as best as I can but the dragon swallows powerfully. A second swallow squeezes me into his throat, the muscles work me down the path despite my best struggles. Eventually my journey ends and the pressure relieves itself as the stomach greets me.

I fall into the acids that are almost completely filling the stomach. Within only a few seconds my body begins to burn all over, worse than the fire. The dragon probably hasn't eaten in a while, which is why the acids begin working straight away. Eager to consume anything that passes the dragon's throat.

I hear the dragon speak, but I'm too bewildered by the pain and fear to comprehend it. Then the stomachs shape changes rapidly, like something large has rammed into the beast's belly. The pressure pushes me and much of the stomach contents upward, back where I came from. The forces pushing my body are strong, making me feel faint. The solid thud on the ground returns some of my strength, but feeling the wind against my weakened skin is what makes me fully conscious again.

I'm pinned to the ground with crushing force, several loud snap ring through my ears. For a split second I hope that the sound was branches snapping under me, that changes quickly as my insides begin to hurt with multiple stabbing pains.

"Take another step and I'll crush him!" The dragon yells.

"If he dies, then so do you!" Sierra screams back.

"You can't beat me, he's only outside of my stomach because you caught me off guard, and that won't happen again." The dragon grumbles, not willing to yell anymore from the pain of throwing up.

"Let him go and I won't hurt you!" Sierra commands, showing complete confidence, even in front of the larger dragon.

"You don't seem to understand, I'm in control here, his life is up to 'me'." The dragon states before flipping me over and putting three claws on my midsection. The two outer claws just above my hips and the centre claw on my stomach. He then begins pressing down until I scream before returning back to holding me in place. "See?" He continues. "I barely rested my paw on him, yet he screams for me to stop." He says, as Sierra just stands there, too afraid to move for my sake.

"Fine then, what do you want for him?" Sierra asks, hoping to bargain with him.

"Nothing, I'm happy with what I've got." The dragon says smugly, briefly closing his eyes and grinning.

"He is my human and I want him back!" Sierra yells, wiping the grin off the dragon's face as its eyes snap open.

"He's my prey and I intend to kill him!" The dragon yells back.

"Don't you dare hurt him!" Sierra commands and begins growling. The dragon pushes its paw down with immense pressure and the claws pinning me down slice right through me. It feels so strange, my body is already in so much pain that it doesn't even hurt, only feeling weird.

"Oops." The dragon exclaims, although the action was obviously on purpose. Sierra's face is a sight of horror which is in vast contrast to the male dragons, with his eyes closed and a subtle grin across his maw.

Sierra takes this to her advantage and rams the dragon. The beasts blades rip out of my chest and I yell in pain. The flesh that was forced to part due to the claws now tries to fill the holes created. The pain causes me to vomit up a pool of acids and blood. My legs cease to function as I watch the two dragons fight. The male dragon shows its dominance spewing fire at Sierra and gets several solid hits on her too. Sierra's in a losing fight and won't last much longer without help.

I take a few seconds to acquire my bearings before crawling with all my strength to where I think my crossbow landed. Behind me, I hear bellowing raws, the crackling of flames, the ripping of flesh and the smashing of the surround trees as the two great creatures dance in the undergrowth.  I find the crossbow on the ground and load a bolt into it before yelling at Sierra to try and bring the fight closer so I can help.

"Sierra over here!" I yell, looking back to where the dragons are fighting. Sierra heads straight for my voice, keeping her head trained on the threat. The male dragon follows suit attempting to chase Sierra down before she gets to me. The male dragon is successful and pushes Sierra to the ground. I fire, hitting the beast in its side and for that split second his attention changes. Sierra uses this against him, pushing the dragon away.

The two continue to fight as I load another bolt into my crossbow. A goliath battle between two fearsome dragons that makes me seem insignificant by comparison. I aim to shoot only to notice my hands shaking, struggling to hold the crossbow with any strength. I fire, hitting the dragon again, this time in the back, causing him to become fully focused on me. Sierra bites him while he's distracted, but he takes little notice, shaking her grip before heading straight for me.

Sierra and I simultaneously realise his intentions and both try our separate ways to stop him. Sierra takes chase as I fumble around trying to load another bolt with my shaking hands. I fire, hitting his leg, causing him to stumble slightly. This enables Sierra to catch up and grab the dragon by its tail pulling him to my left. They both tumble as they go from full speed to stopping, the male dragon hits a tree, ripping it from the ground as he comes to a stop. I begin to load a bolt as the tree lands with a crash and Sierra rises up and heads for me, only to be stopped by the male dragon pouncing on her. He begins attacking Sierra relentlessly, scratching and biting. While the dragon is distracted, I fire and my shot comes in direct contact with the dragon's eye.

The dragon becomes dazed by the sudden shock of pain and probably the loss of vision in one eye. Sierra pushes the dragon away from her and he tries to spew fire at me, but Sierra gets up and rushes over to me. With no hesitation, she picks me up and leaps into the air, even though she's being as careful as possible, I can't help but grunt loudly in pain. Sierra flaps her wings as fast as I've ever seen her do so and within only a few minutes were back in sight of home. Sierra lands roughly before continuing deep into the cave. She puts me down and then examines her paw, now coated in blood.

"I-its n-not g-good is it." I stutter, feeling so cold. It hurts to speak and I know my wounds are fatal.

"It's not that bad, you will be okay, trust me." Sierra says, obviously holding back tears.

"Si-sierra, I-I'm a-afr-afraid." I say fearfully, glancing over to my saviour, who is also wounded.

"Don't be, you are going to be okay, you will get better!" Sierra exclaims, almost yelling at me.

"I-I'm so-sorry, that y-you, got hurt." I say, having to take frequent breaks in my sentence.

"Don't be, I will always be there for you." Sierra says in a calming tone, which is in vast contrast to the expression she's wearing.

"Th-then, p-put m-me, d-down." My shaking stops, my voice becomes clear and I accept my fate. "I-it h-hurts s-so much, just make it stop." I plead.

"No, endure it, I'll keep you safe." Sierra pleads, lowering her head close to me.

"You can't keep me from death." I whisper. My words are an omen of my own fate before me.

"You are not going to die, now stop!" Sierra pleads as she begins to cry.

"Sierra, it hurts, please just make it stop. I won't hold it against you." I plead, but she doesn't, not even any attempt to try and kill me.

"The pain will stop with time as you heal." Sierra says calmly, as if she's sure it will happen.

"Sierra, I can't move my legs, blood is flowing from my body like a river and I'm in so much pain. I won't survive this, but even if I do, it won't be living, just slowing death." I cry out, not wanting to die but preparing myself for it anyway.

"So what, you expect me to just leave you for that brute?" Sierra asks angrily.

"If you don't than he will kill us both." I explain, seeing how hard it is for Sierra to do as I say.

"I won't let him take you from me!" Sierra exclaims angrily.

"Then you take me, we both win, I will stop suffering and you can keep me with you forever." I say, trying to be as convincing as possible, just wanting the pain to end.

"No, No, NO! I can't do that to you. I care too much to do that." Sierra pleads, wanting me to try and survive.

"If you care so much, why are you letting me be in all this pain. Like I said, you can't keep me from death, only delay it." Repeating those words scares me slightly and I can't help but whimper as they repeat over and over in my mind.

"I can try and save you, it's a ritual!" Sierra exclaims, almost happily in her tone.

"I know you're trying to make me feel less afraid," Sierra cuts me off, speaking over the top of me.

"I'm serious, you will live." Sierra says sternly.

"I'm willing to try it then." I sigh, knowing that Sierra is trying to make me oblivious to my demise, but if it makes her feel better than I will be happy.

"It is going to hurt and I can't talk back. I need to say the ritual." Sierra explains. Her explanation shows that it's the first time doing this, like she just made it up then.

"I trust you, just go ahead and start." I say, unaware, but also partially curious as to what she has planned.

"Just understand, I get no pleasure from doing this." Sierra says, lifting me up to eye level.

"Don't worry, I know you care." I say, attempting to make a smile. Sierra begins to cry once again and I lift my hand to her muzzle to comfort her. Upon returning my hand, I see the blood smear in the shape of my hand on her muzzle. I glance down to where I had been laying and see a pool of blood. "I have to ask Sierra? Why didn't you breathe fire?" I question her, it is something that had set in my mind that I need to ask.

"I have never been able to breathe fire, a deformity I guess." Sierra says amongst the tears.

"Oh, okay and thank you, for saving me from that dragon." I say, trying to make Sierra feel better.

"I hope this works." Sierra pleads and then begins to chant in an unknown language.

She lifts me above her head as more tears fall from her eyes, continuing to chant. Then suddenly she stops, opens her maw and drops me inside. She continues to chant, although a bit slurred, it is noticeably the repetition of the same chant over and over again. Once again, she stops, this time she begins to tilt her head back. Even if I wanted to resist I couldn't, without the use of my legs and the loss of blood making me weak, I just slide down her tongue. She lets out a reluctant swallow, before a second one with more strength that pulls me into her throat.

The journey is deafeningly loud with Sierra continuing to cry before landing in the dark environment of her stomach. She begins to chant once more. Her stomach begins to churn violently, almost bubbling as she speaks. The churning acids are relentless and burn terribly too, making it near impossible for me to keep my head above. It's even worse considering that now my legs are nothing more than dead weight. It's I am in a dark ocean, every ripple threatens to drown me.

I endure the pain, hoping that Sierra is right and that it will stop burning and heal me or something. My arms paddle frantically to keep me afloat. The muscles begin to ache, the lack of blood means a lack of oxygen and that means my body is about to fail me. I persevere the best I can but my body gives up on me and now all I can do is think.

I know that you don't want to leave me, but is this really the best way? You want me to be with you, but why make me suffer? Sierra, isn't there a better way?

My mind continues to think pointless thoughts as the acidosis liquids burn and churn, waves of it flow over my face, burning my ears, eyes and nostrils. My body becomes even to weak to breathe, not that it matters considering I probably have no blood to transport it anywhere.

Death is only seconds away, will she remember me? How long until I'm replaced? What will Brad think? Has she ever really care or am I just naive? What would of happened if I just stayed at the castle? I would never have met Sierra. I wish you knew how much I care about you?

I close my eyes to try and stop the pain from the acids getting into them. I hope that I will just drift off, but fear snaps my eyes open again. What I see shocks me, myself. I am watching my limp body, the acids visibly working on it, being sloshed around. Nothing I try does anything, I can't even look away. After what feels like forever, my body begins sinking, continuing to do so until it is no longer in sight. I watch in pure horror as pieces of what can only be my own flesh float to the top with the bubbling mixture.

I manage to close my eyes once more, but force them open when I hear crying. Now, instead of looking down on myself, I am looking down at Sierra, curled up, nuzzling her stomach and crying uncontrollably. My mind instantly turns to her, feeling terrible for my thoughts. She won't replace me, she's cared so much for me and I leave her in tears. I wish I could just hug her and let her know I'm all right.

My thoughts are disturbed by a dark silhouette at the entrance to the cave that is walking closer. It takes a few seconds to realise the size of the creature. The male dragon!

"Sierra!" I yell, but I make no sound.

I try again, but receive the same result. I am dead, I have no voice. I watch as the dragon gets closer and Sierra just lays there crying, unaware of the approaching threat. The world begins to melt away into darkness and I just watch in submission. I wish I could do something, say something, anything to get Sierra's attention, but I can do nothing. My last thoughts echo in my mind as the world becomes completely black.

Sierra look out...
